Reliability & Validity

At MMI we administer Functional Capacity Evaluations with evaluation tools and methods that are validity based and legally defensible in the field of occupational rehabilitation. All testing is performed with standardized protocols that are specific to each case in question. Each FCE will provide information on the reliability of physical effort, reliability of pain reports/behaviors and safe levels of functional capacity.

Our standardized protocols determine the level of participation and activity that is right for the patient following rehabilitation, providing the highest probability for a return to work without re-injury.

Consistent, Experienced Reporting

MMI’s certified functional evaluators produce FCEs in a timely manner that are clear, concise, and specific providing case closure for the referral sources and the Workers' Compensation client. 

• Beverly Kornides, PT, performs FCE’s at our Hagerstown and Frederick facilities and has over 30 years of experience evaluating and treating injured workers. Bev utilizes the WorkWell FCE System.
