MMI Announces New Executive Leadership

Frederick, Maryland, February 16, 2022, The Centers For Advanced Orthopaedics- MMI Division, a leading provider of orthopaedic services across Frederick, today announced new executive leadership, which include: Dr. Kristin Nesbitt Silon (Dr. Nesbitt) as President and Dr. Neeti Bhargava as Vice President. They join the 8% of women running and diversifying major businesses, with only 4% running healthcare companies, within the United States. “We are pleased to have Dr. Nesbitt Silon and Dr. Bhargava on our team and know they will help propel the mission and vision of MMI in the community,” said former President Dr. Mark Chilton.

Kristin Nesbitt Silon, M.D., F.A.C.S. is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and has a certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. She specializes in Hand and Upper Extremity Disorders. Dr. Nesbitt  has been with MMI for over 17 years. Her attention to detail, excellent patient care skills, and fresh take on management style will push MMI to another level of excellence. Working alongside Dr. Mark Chilton, M.D. has prepared Dr. Nesbitt  for her new role as President. “I feel very fortunate to have joined MMI right out of fellowship back in 2004. My partners and staff immediately felt like family, and I truly enjoy living in the community in which I practice,” said Dr. Nesbitt . “I am very excited for this next chapter as President and look forward to continuing our vision to provide the highest quality of care to each individual right here in their own backyard.”  

Dr. Neeti Bhargava, M.D., is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine.  Dr. Bhargava treats patients with a variety of disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, gout, scleroderma, psoriatic arthritis, polymyositis and vasculitis.  She utilizes state of the art medicine, but her care is centered around the patient and their family. She joined the practice over 12 years ago and has enjoyed the collaborative approach to care among her colleagues. ”I feel extremely fortunate to celebrate the success of our company so far. I am eager to continue the mission and vision of MMI in our community and beyond,” said Dr. Bhargava.
