The Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute is pleased to announce the expansion of their Hagerstown, MD office which now includes Physical Therapy services provided by Beverly Kornides, PT. Bev has been a practicing physical therapist for over 30 years and spent 11 years as owner and therapist of Potomac Rehabilitation Services in Hagerstown before joining forces with MMI. She is happy to be back practicing in Hagerstown and is eager to begin caring for patients. Bev specializes in back, foot and ankle rehabilitation, injury prevention and biomechanics. She is active in the Hagerstown community and is an avid runner and marathon participant; having completed five of Hagerstown’s very own JFK 50 ultra marathons.
In addition to rheumatology, infusion, and lab services MMI is able to offer physical therapy services to their patients as well as Hagerstown residents. Bev is able to care for all types of patients including children, young athletes, weekend warriors, work related injuries, and geriatric care. Her experience and passion for running and athletics has set an excellent base for injury prevention, over use, and biomechanical assessments. She is happy to work with all aspects of the body and is also able to offer specialized services in foot and ankle including orthotics consultations and fabrication, and diabetic feet. For the industrial worker Bev is prepared to help you return to work in a safe and efficient manner by offering a variety of services such as proper lifting techniques, injury prevention, work related accident care, and functional capacity evaluations.
Bev keeps her physical therapy skills current through continuing education in the latest techniques. A few of the unique services Bev offers include; biomechanical running and walking analysis, custom orthotic fabrication, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, as well as trigger point therapy with dry needling for muscle tension and chronic pain.
