Christopher D. Berman, MD
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist
Dr. Berman is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has been in practice since 1996. His practice includes the evaluation and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, spinal disorders, sports medicine injuries, chronic pain, neurologic disorders, prosthetics and orthotics, wheelchair evaluations, management of acute pain, orthopaedic post-operative care, stroke, wound care, geriatric debility and discharge planning.
He attended the University of Maryland Medical School and completed the Sinai Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program. In previous positions Dr. Berman has served as Medical Director, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Director of Rehabilitation of a Subacute Care Center.
In addition to the general practice of physiatry Dr. Berman is trained in Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies as well as spinal intervention procedures including fluoroscopically guided epidural, facet and sacro-iliac injections.
Dr. Berman is member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Spinal Intervention Society.
